DUST MITE Sequence.
This a sequence which I put together for a programme proposal. These are dust mites and they evidently live in most households especially
in bedrooms. They basically live off our skin sheddings. I leapt at the chance of making this sequence because it's got plenty
of potential. It's like jungle stories but in your very own bedroom. The creature with the very large pincers is a Cheyletus Eruditis
which is a natural predator of the dust mite. The geometry of these creatures is simple (you can see this on background tile) but relies on a displacement map
rendered in Mental Ray. The backgrounds are by Nick Sainton-Clark.
