A MAMMOTH WALK CYCLE
RIGGING WORKSHOP: INTRODUCTION
Above is the wrap deformer for the Woolly Mammoth.   This primitive version of the animal is quick and light to animate and when it comes to render time it also controls the real surfaces which were, in this case, NURBs from which fur was grown.   This is a 50 frame walk cycle which I developed as part of itís generic behavior set.   On the next page you see how this primitive shape is controlled through a basic skeletal framework and lots of influence objects which keep a tight reign on the shape of this wrap object.
