RIGGING WORKSHOP: The WOOLLY MAMMOTH
This rig is showing it’s age a little now but it is still is an effective setup.   I have exposed all the influence objects that keep shape of the animal in check.   This mammoth was animated by team so there are probably more controls on it than you would normally expect.   Rigging is rather like stringing a puppet and this setup is controlled by the little coloured gimbals dotted around.   Most of the rotation controls operate in xyz but some, like the Skin Stretch, only work on a single axis but they may control many of parameters.   Pass your mouse over the white circles towards the green centers to operate the mammoth.
